The AMP Residence is envisioned as a "Living Showroom"; a dynamic space that reimagines the concept of modern, urban living. Purchased in 2022, this 90m² ground-floor apartment, located in the prestigious northern suburbs of Athens, is surrounded by a private garden and offers direct views of the neighbourhood park. The design brief called for more than just functionality; it sought to create an environment that blends high-end design with personalized taste.
Following our client's vision, the under-construction at the time of purchase property was transformed into a "Living Showroom" - a bold and unconventional vision that pushes the boundaries of residential design. The result is a space that harmonizes luxury and comfort, reflecting the client’s dynamic lifestyle and individuality. By challenging conventional norms, AMP Residence showcases how personalized design can elevate everyday living into an extraordinary experience.
Situated on the ground floor, with a private surrounding garden and direct, unobstructed views of the neighbourhood park, the property enjoys a unique advantage. However, privacy was a key consideration. The primary focus was on enhancing the daily experience by seamlessly integrating the natural surroundings while setting privacy boundaries that didn't compromise the sense of openness. The strategic placement of openings and the use of versatile window treatments allow for dynamic control over both views and access. This ensures a harmonious connection between indoor and outdoor spaces without compromising comfort or security.
At the heart of AMP Residence lies a custom-made kitchen that combines practicality with refined aesthetics, serving as both a functional workspace and a central meeting place for connection and enjoyment. The design is anchored by two primary materials: a sand-textured ceramic plate with a thin profile and oak veneer panels that run cohesively throughout the space. The ceramic plate takes centre stage, forming the sleek cooking and bar unit, while also being ingeniously crafted into a custom sink. Adding to its sophistication, a lit hidden alcove with parallel sliding panels discreetly houses glassware, offering both convenience and elegance. Panelled curtains and glass details further enhance the open-plan layout, creating an inviting atmosphere that balances practicality with intimacy. This fine blend of materials—ceramic plates, oak veneer, custom elements, and subtle lighting—transforms the kitchen into more than just a cooking area; it becomes a space to gather, share, and connect in the spirit of modern living.
The design of AMP Residence is defined by a masterful interplay of contrasts, creating a harmonious yet dynamic living environment. The overarching theme balances soft minimalism with bold elements, resulting in a space that feels both serene and captivating. This philosophy continues to be evident in the bathroom, where smooth surfaces and soft textures are juxtaposed with colourful vanities, offering a tranquil yet invigorating atmosphere. Every design choice throughout the residence reflects the multifaceted nature of the client’s personality, blending individuality with timeless elegance to create a home that is as unique as it is functional.
